Imaginisce Back to School Take 2 and A Blog Tour

I am sharing my Take 2 Back To School project for Imaginisce here today!  This was on the Imaginisce blog yesterday.  You can find that posting HERE.  Plus all the other fun back to school projects over there!

I layered pattern paper and cardstock, just to give some fun details to the clouds.  And to make them stand out just a little!

And for the Blog Tour!

Linda Auclair asked me to participate in this fun way to meet and discover bloggers!  It's not a hop, it's a tour!  Linda has been on many design teams and has a great, easy going style that will appeal to a lot of crafters.  I discovered her thru her fab Echo Park altered projects that she did while on their team!

We are suppose to answer some questions about how we craft and what inspires us, so here it goes!

1. What am I working on right now?
That would probably be some assignments for CREATE.  This is a weird month of deadlines for me, so I am working on getting those done and sent off!

2. How long does it take to create a project?
Depends!  The project above went pretty quickly.  For altered, I usually have a pretty good idea of what I am doing.  Now layouts on the other hand…uhhhh, anywhere from an hour to several hours.  I get distracted easily by looking for Silhouette files, Facebook, etc!

3. What are my favorite things to create with at the moment?
Pattern paper, always pattern paper!  And 3D Foam Adhesive from ThermOWeb, along with the new Fabric Fuse Liquid Adhesive they just released.  And usually a doily!

4. How does my writing/creating process work?
Creating process is usually jumpstarted by a photo.  The photos get me in the mood to create.  Writing my blog entries is basically just me telling a story about my projects.  I tend to do a lot of blog entries in one setting, because I get into a rhythm of writing and I don't want to stop.

5. How do I become inspired and stay inspired?
Once again, it's usually a photo that I just have to create a layout with.  I will admit, sometimes it is hard to stay inspired. Sometimes it just the paper and embellishments that get me to create. I tend not to surf galleries, pinterest, etc for craft projects (food on the other hand!!) because I do not want to accidentally create something that I should give someone due credit for.   When my blog goes "dark" for awhile, there is a chance that I could be in a "funk" of not being creative.  Or, I have just not sat down to blog, which is a creative process in itself.

6. What is my signature style?
That's the question that I always find hard to answer!  I would definitely say that bright colors and fun clusters are part of my style.  There is usually a doily somewhere.  Layered and dimensional for certain are part of my style.

Now, I get to list a few people that will be on the tour next week on Friday, August 22nd!

Love this Canadian gal!  She currently designs for Pink Paislee, Jillibean Soup and SEI.  She has a unique, clean style that is totally opposite of mine!

This southern gal and I became fast friends while we were on the Sketch Support team.  She hit the fast track of design teams and is currently on American Crafts, A Flair for Buttons, Hip Kit and Echo Park to name a few.  She also has her own Esty digital cut file shop called The Cut Shoppe.

So go check these girls out!  And if you have  a link that you would like to share with me, let me know in the comments!

Have a wonderful weekend, I know I am going to try for sure!
